1kBWC is a card game that you and your friends create! The game starts with creating the deck from the blank cards.
The cards players make can have any number of effects; adding points, reversing effects of cards of a certain color, making a player speak pig latin for a round or else their turn is skipped, and changing the win condition to most vowels on the played cards are just a few things you can have as card effects, cards can also be requred to play to a certain area (gone over in the next paragraph). Note, creating a thousand cards for your first game is not recommended, as it will take a significant amount of time and you do want to get to play the game of course, having about 60 cards to start with is ok, but larger groups and longer games will need more than that. (Optionally, you can keep blank cards in the deck, and allow players to make cards during the game, though it can cause games to drag on)
After you've got a deck made up, decide on how many rounds you all are up for playing, find a surface to play on, and decide who goes first. Once you've decided everything, each player should be dealt a few cards into their hand and take a new card before the play a card. When playing cards, there are 3 main areas you can play to: playing a card into your play area effects you (ex. if you play a card to your play area that says "you are immune to verbal effects", you don't need speak in pig latin if someone plays a card that tries to make you); playing a card into another player's play area effects that player (ex. if you play a card to another player's play area that says "all blue cards have their point values turned negative", it would only effect that player's blue cards); and playing a card into the center play area effects all players including you (ex. if you play a card to the center play area that says "put all cards in your play area that contain the letter 'A'into the discard pile", then all players including youself discard any card containing an 'A'). Note, it is not recommended to keep track of points during gameplay, as some card rules can change things drastically and make it very tedious to do every turn.
When you've made it through the game, now is the time to add up points, though a card may have the game's win condition may have changed, maybe whoever has the most amount of colors in the play area wins, or the player with the points closest to zero wins. Regardless, you have found a winner, and can go on to make more cards for the game! If a card is too overpowered you could remove it, or you could make a card that counters it! Think about the cards you saw in your game and make ones that syngergize with them! The more you play, the more the deck evolves and bringing in new people adds to the possibilities exponentially!
